Reading and Leeds Festival Just Gave Us a Lift: How to SKOOT Your Way There
With the news that live music events can kick off in the UK from June 21st, our 2021 festival season looks like it’s back in action… hallelujah. It’s probably best to not get ahead of ourselves with the roadmap out of Lockdown 3.0 – but thinking about it, how can we not?
Especially when you’ve got the likes of Rob Da Bank, founder of Bestival, talking about the sudden spike in interest in Google searches. Coincidence? We don’t think so.
And Live Nation today came out big and bold and announced Reading and Leeds are the first big-name music festivals to be taking place this year. A few weeks ago, we all would have been thinking that our summer will be spent walking around parks with one person from a different household. But now, we’ve got the chance to be dancing around fields to listening to live music from the likes of headlining acts such as Post Malone, Stormzy, Liam Gallagher plus many, many more.
So when is Reading and Leeds – August 27th – 29th (which just happens to be Bank Holiday)
Which might also mean Notting Hill Carnival in London might be back on.
This is all dependant on how successful the UK rollout of lockdown is and also the percentage of the population that’s been vaccinated. But there’s no reason as to why we can’t start to get excited.
Other hopeful festivals are:
- Junction 2, London
- Newsam Park, Leeds
- Gala, London
- Eastern Electrics
- Boomtown, Winchester
- We Out Here, Cambridgeshire
- Parklife, Manchester
